About Johne
Johne has been involved in the horse business for over 35 years beginning as a youth exhibitor and continuing to breed horses today. All of her adult life, she has been active in many facets of the equine business from showing, standing stallions, training, teaching lessons, and breeding for champions as well as owning race horses. Johne adds her knowledge to local and statewide organizations. She is a National Director for the American Quarter Horse Association and served as the 2013 President of the organization being the second woman to hold that office. She is committed to the American Quarter Horse Foundation having served on the Equine Research Committee which grants funds for important research projects that help all breeds. The equine world has provided an amazing experience for Johne and her family. Her involvement in the horse world has greatly enhanced the knowledge it takes to conduct the equine insurance business she started in 1992.
