Breed/discipline specialties: Hunters, Jumpers
Imogen is new to the insurance industry, having obtained her license in January, 2016. Her passion for horses led her to pursue a P&C license with a plan to specialize in Equine, Farm & Ranch and Agriculture. She is currently licensed in both Oregon and Virginia. Imogen is excited to join Markel, and is energetically networking to create leads and sales for a variety of equine and agricultural policies in Virginia, Central Oregon and beyond.
Raised in beautiful Virginia – in the heart of horse country – she grew up riding, competing, and teaching. Her family is heavily involved in the breeding and racing of Thoroughbreds out of their Virginia farm. Imogen graduated from Sweet Briar College (recently in the news for its near demise and quick resurrection by its faithful Alumnae!) in 1996 with degrees in Biology and English. Imogen and her family moved from Virginia to Portland in 2010, and settled in Sisters in 2014. She, her husband, and their two young children, enjoy the beauty and active atmosphere of Sisters. Imogen’s daughter is a member of High Lakes Pony Club in Sisters, and Imogen enjoys supporting the Club and sharing in the fun with her little girl. Imogen’s horse, Wellington, joined the family in Oregon from Virginia in 2014, and the entire family enjoys spending time with him. Wellington plans to be a show horse when he grows up.
Professionally, Imogen has experience in many aspects of sales and marketing, and also in education administration.
