Inspecting your first-aid kit

Having a well stocked first-aid kit is an essential part of any safety program. Inspecting your first-aid kit regularly helps keep supplies at hand, and reminds you to discard dated items that have expired. Make sure to replace any used and expired items promptly after you remove them from the first-aid kit. There are a number of commercial first-aid kits that you can buy that will provide enough first aid supplies to meet your needs. At a minimum, your facility should have a first-aid kit in the main office, accessible to all care givers, and a kit located in each vehicle. It’s a good idea to have a first aid kit in every classroom, and to carry a portable first-aid kit for outside play and field trips.
