Vol. 13 Issue 4 - Winter 2020

Check out the latest edition of Safety Focus, Markel Specialty's accident prevention newsletter. Learn more about aerial lifts, winter slip hazards, and fire sprinkler contractors.

Aerial lifts

Aerial lifts have replaced ladders and scaffolding on many job sites due to their mobility and flexibility. They may be made of metal, fiberglass reinforced plastic, or other materials. Many workers are injured or killed on aerial lifts each year.

Winter slip, trip, and fall hazards

Winter weather, including freezing temperatures, ice, and snow, presents the potential for slips, trips, and falls in many industries. Businessowners that are proactive in managing winter weather hazards are more likely to prevent worker and customer injuries.
